Installation Instructions
⚠️ Why Your Mac Will Block This App
I'm a bum who doesn't have an Apple Developer account ($99/year) to "sign" this app properly. So macOS will quarantine it and say it's "damaged." The app is completely safe — it's fully open source so you can inspect every line of code.
Step 1: Download and Install
- Download the
.dmgor.zipfile above - If using DMG: Open it and drag M2 Film to Applications folder
- If using ZIP: Unzip it and drag M2 Film.app to Applications folder
Step 2: Remove the Quarantine Flag (REQUIRED)
macOS will block the app from opening. You MUST run this Terminal command:
Open Terminal and paste this:
xattr -cr "/Applications/M2 Film.app"
Press Enter. No output = success. This removes the quarantine flag.
Step 3: Launch
Now open M2 Film from Applications. It should launch normally. Future opens won't require any special steps!
